BIOGRAFIA.

Ozzy teve uma infância não muito fácil, seus pais eram bastante pobres. Eram em seis irmãos e Ozzy começou a trabalhar cedo, teve vários empregos, inclusive de afinador de buzinas numa montadora de carros. Aos 17 anos começou a furtar lojas e acabou sendo preso. Foi numa dessas estadias na prisão que ele fez as famosas tatuagens que possui nas mãos e nos joelhos.
Sua primeira banda tinha o nome de Approach, mas não durou muito. Depois de passar por outra banda, conheceu Terry “Gezzer” Butler, que o procurou através de um anúncio para formar o Rare Breed. Logo vieram Bill Ward e Tony Iommi que, na época, tocavam no Mythology. O nome da banda mudou para Polka Tulk Blues Band e depois para Earth até que finalmente escolheram o nome ideal: Black Sabbath.
Ozzy foi líder e fundador do Black Sabbath, referência musical de dez entre dez artistas do gênero, e destacou-se internacionalmente com a banda, através de canções imortais do heavy metal, como Changes, Paranoid e War Pigs.
Após sua saida da banda em 1979, motivada por desentendimentos com os outros integrantes, principalmente Tonny Iommi, Ozzy Osbourne manteve sua carreira em alta, convocando Randy Rhoads (ex-guitarrista do Quiet Riot) para juntar-se a ele.
Logo vieram Blizzard of Ozz e Diary of A Madman. Infelizmente, em 1982, Randy Rhoads faleceu em um desastre aéreo deixando uma lacuna difícil de ser preenchida. Speak Of The Devil (ou ainda Talk of The Devil, como saiu o título no Reino Unido) veio ainda neste ano e trazia canções ao vivo do Black Sabbath. Mais tarde, Ozzy lançaria Tribute, também ao vivo, dedicado ao falecido guitarrista.
O guitarrista Jake E. Lee juntou-se à banda e Ozzy continuou lançando ótimos álbuns como Bark at The Moon de 1983 e The Ultimate Sin de 1986. Nessa época, Ozzy já apresentava problemas com bebidas alcoolicas.
A carreira do Ozzy é permeada por histórias curiosas e até engraçadas. A famosa história do morcego, que Ozzy mordeu no meio de um show, foi menos interessante do que os fãs imaginam. Ozzy teve que tomar injeções, teve choque anafilático e cancelou uma porção de shows. Ele não sabia que era um morcego de verdade quando abocanhou o pobre animalzinho. Outra famosa é a acusação de incitação ao suicídio com a música Suicide Solution. Ozzy foi absolvido de todas as acusações.
Zakk Wilde veio substituir Jake e pouco antes dos anos 90 foi cogitada uma volta do Sabbath com Ozzy, o que acabou não acontecendo. Foi na década de 90 que Ozzy largou o álcool. Anunciou ainda que estava pendurando as chuteiras depois do lançamento de No More Tears, mas isso não durou muito para a alegria dos fãs.
Vieram Ozzmosis e Ozzman Cometh e no ano passado a tão esperada reunião finalmente aconteceu: Ozzy voltou para o microfone do Sabbath. Nos anos seguintes, Ozzy lançou pelo seu selo Ozz Records álbuns que registram os melhores momentos dos Ozzfests, festival no qual sempre toca com o Sabbath: The Ozzfest, Ozzfest- Second Stage Live e Ozzfest-The Second Millenium.
Finalmente, em 2001, o vocalista lança seu primeiro trabalho solo em seis anos: Down to Earth, com Zakk Wylde (guitarra), Robert Trujillo (baixo) e Mike Bordin (bateria), iniciando mais uma turnê.
Logo a seguir, Ozzy entrou na onda dos ‘reality shows’ e teve sua vida pessoal (e de sua família) invadidas pela MTV. A produção do seriado “The Osbournes” rendeu a ele fama em programas de TV, jornais e revistas que sequer falavam de sua carreira ou sua música. A notícia era sempre a excentricidade dele e de sua família. Os fãs se dividiram: Enquanto alguns achavam que o programa só servia para mostrar uma imagem ruim do músico, outros gostaram da oportunidade de conhecer a intimidade do ídolo.
No ano seguinte, “Live at Budokan” chega às lojas, e, em 2003, a coletânea dupla “The Essential Ozzy Osbourne” é lançada. O baixista Robert Trujillo abandona Ozzy para entrar no Metallica e é substituído por Jason Newsted, ex-Metallica, numa incrível troca de bandas.
Já em 2005 chega no mercado um box especial, intitulado “Prince Of Darkness”, contendo quatro discos. Como toda caixa especial, o novo material reuniu algumas faixas raras, sobras de estúdio, entre outras surpresas. Um dos discos é marcado pela grande quantidade de covers. O CD traz Ozzy cantando “Sympathy For The Devil”, do Rolling Stones, “In My Life”, dos Beatles, “21st Century Schizoid Man”, do King Crimson e “Stayin’Alive”, do Bee Gees.
Em 2007 foi lançado o álbum “Black Rain”, muito bem aceito pela critica e fez Ozzy ser eleito o maior ícone da música.
Em 2008 Ozzy fez um show no Brasil, recebeu também o prêmio de lenda viva pelo Classic Rock Awards, na Inglaterra. Recentemente, Ozzy Osbourne gravou um comercial sobre World of Warcraft. No comercial, mostra Ozzy Osbourne em frente ao Lich King decidindo quem é o principe das trevas.

BIOGRAFIA.

A banda UFO, foi formada em 1969, com Phil Mogg (vocal), Pete Way (baixo), Andy Parker (bateria) e Mick Bolton (guitarra). Primeiramente nomeada Hocus Pocus, o grupo teve seu nome mudado para UFO logo depois. Com essa formação lançaram dois álbuns que levaram o nome de “UFO 1″ e “Flying”. Apesar desses álbuns não terem obtido um grande sucesso comercial, alguns fãs consideram essa a melhor fase da banda.Em 1974, quando já faziam um relativo sucesso na Alemanha e no Japão, Bolton deixou a banda, dando lugar a Larry Wallis, depois a Bernie Marsden, que viria a tocar com o Whitesnake, e logo depois deu lugar, finalmente, ao excelente Michael Schenker, que já havia tocado com o Scorpions.Com Michael na banda, aconteceu algo bastante incomum, pois Phil foi o fundador e frontman da banda, mas era Michael quem chamava todas as atenções. Mesmo assim, a banda tocou e obteve contatos até que conseguiu um contrato com a Chrysalis, onde gravaram o excelente álbum “Phenomenon”, com os clássicos “Doctor, Doctor” (que chegaria a ser coverizada pelo Iron Maiden) e “Rock Bottom”.Em 1976 a banda acrescentou à sua formação o tecladista Danny Peyronel, que depois daria lugar a Paul Raymond. Os excelentes álbuns “Lights Out” e “Strangers In The Night” viriam, então, a firmar definitivamente o UFO na historia do hard rock. Em 1978 Michael saiu da banda, voltando ao Scorpions onde gravou somente três faixas no álbum “Lovedrive” e depois formando o Michael Schenker Group. Paul Raymond foi acompanhar Michael em 1980 e para seu lugar no UFO foi chamado Neil Carter. Nessa época Pete Way formou o bom Waysted, que teve Fast Eddie Clarke (ex-Motörhead) na formação. Para o lugar de Pete foi chamado o ex-The Damned, Paul Gray.Em 1983 foi anunciado o fim da banda, que ressurgiria dois anos mais tarde com Phil Mogg, Raymond, Gray e os novos integrantes Jim Simpson e Tommy M. Com essa formação gravaram o álbum “Misdemeanor”, que apesar de ser um bom álbum, não foi um sucesso de vendas. E mais uma vez o fim da banda é anunciado. Em 1991, um novo ressurgimento, com apenas Mogg e Way da formação clássica, acompanhados pelo baterista Clive Edwards e pelo guitarrista Lawrence Archer. A banda lançou, então, o álbum “High Stakes And Dangerous Men”, com algumas referências ao estilo dos álbuns “Phenomenon” e “Lights Out”.Em meados da década de 90 Michael voltou à banda, mas permaneceu por pouco tempo, voltando a seus projetos solo. A volta não passou de uma tentativa de levantar dinheiro. O grupo chegou a se apresentar novamente com Mogg, Way, Raymond, Wright e Jeff Kollman no lugar de Michael. Jeff havia tocado baixo no Michael Schenker Group. Em 95 Michael Schenker voltaria novamente, gravando o disco “Walk on Water” e dividindo seu tempo entre o UFO, Michael Schenker Group e outros trabalhos solo.Em 1999 foi lançado um tributo ao UFO no Japão, com bandas como Scorpions, Bruce Dickinson, Megadeth, Metallica, DIO, Anthax, Anvil, entre outras.
