BIOGRAFIA.

O Rainbow nasceu em 1975, após a saída de Ritchie Blackmore do Deep Purple. Por não aguentar mais as influências de Glenn Hughes no estilo musical do Deep Purple, Blackmore decide fundar uma nova banda, o Ritchie Blackmore’s Rainbow. Após um fiasco nas vendas do seu primeiro disco, Blackmore demitiu todos os integrantes e, para o novo conjunto, o guitarrista convidou seu amigo Ronnie James Dio e os demais integrantes da banda Elf para integrarem o projeto. Não tinha como uma parceria como essa dar errado! Dio é o maior vocalista de Metal de todos os tempos e Blackmore sempre foi um dos mlhores guitarristas do mundo. À partir daí, a banda simplifica seu nome para Rainbow. É complicado ficar citando as diversas mudanças na formação que o Rainbow enfrentou, pois realmente Ritchie Blackmore deve ser um cara muito complicado e que não consegue manter um bom relacionamento com as pessoas por muito tempo, uma prova disso, é que ele é o único a ficar na banda até o seu fim, todos os demais postos foram modificados. Em 1984, Blackmore retorna ao Deep Purple, deixando o Rainbow parado até 1995, ano em que novamente deixa o Deep Purple e retorna ao Rainbow. Após o álbum Stranger In Us All, Blackmore põe um fim definitivo ao Rainbow para se dedicar ao seu projeto de música renascentista, o Blackmore’s Night ao lado de sua esposa Candice Night. É indiscutível a importância que o Rainbow tem para a história do rock, afinal grandes lendas do rock passaram pelo grupo, além do já citados Blackmore e Dio, outros grandes músicos como Joe Lynn Turner e Cozy Powell também deixaram sua marca no grupo. Para quem não conhece, vale a pena ouvir, pois é uma banda não muito divulgada no Brasil, o que é uma pena, pois os caras são realmente incríveis!
